Which chapter in World History did you enjoy most this year? Why? This year in World History, I enjoyed Chapter 16 the most. I enjoyed Chapter 16 the most because we practically got to teach a lesson, by our self, to the whole class! It was also my favorite because you and three other students got to choose a lesson and take notes on the whole lesson, without Mr. Cupples giving directions! It was also my favorite lesson because we could choose if we wanted to make a video, newscast, power-point, and many more options!
Describe some of the things that you learned in that chapter. Is there a project that you completed that you enjoyed working on? I learned many things in Chapter 16! Some things that I learned in Chapter 16 were that The Boston Tea Party took place in The Boston Harbor. I also learned that there were three hundred forty-two whole cases of tea that was dumped into the Boston Harbor! Wow, that is a whole lot of tea! There was a project that I completed that I enjoyed working on. That project was the Chapter 16 project. I enjoyed this project because you had three partners. You could make a newscast, power-point, a game, or anything mentioned on the hand-out. I also enjoyed this because you practically got to teach the whole class a lesson without Mr. Cupples teaching!
What new skills have you learned throughout the year? I learned many new skills throughout the year. One new skill I have learned was map skills. Map skills taught me how to use a Key and find the number of miles with a scale. They also taught me how to find how wide a country is. Another new skill I have learned in Chapter 16 was that British colonies had governed themselves for a while. I also learned that massacre is an event that causes death of unresisting, helpless people.
How can you apply this knowledge to the real world? I can apply my new knowledge to the real world many ways. One way I can apply my new knowledge is if something, like World War 2, ever happens again, I can be prepared to know what to do. It will also help me because if it does happen again, I know some things about World War 2, and I can be ready to expect what might happen.
